Scoring

Player scoring and fantasy points

Players gain fantasy points for each hole they play in a tournament. A player's round score is the sum of points they've earned on each hole of the round plus possible round-based bonuses. A player's tournament score is the sum of the round scores of the player.

The points a player gains are based on multiple factors. A list of possible factors that contribute to a player's score:

  • The number of strokes on a hole compared to par, e.g. birdie or bogey.
  • The number of strokes on a hole compared to the hole's round average in the player's division.
  • Streaks of three birdies or better, known as a turkey. Turkey bonuses only count when achieved within the same round.
  • The rating of a player's round compared to the player's rating. Round rating bonuses are based on official PDGA player ratings.

Team scoring and tiebreakers

The score of a team is the sum of the tournament scores of all players on the team plus an additional half (rounded down) of the team captain's score. The winner of a tournament is the team with the highest score.

  • Most birdies or better.
  • Fewest bogeys or worse.
